Explore Coalinga, California
Coalinga is located 52 miles (84 km) southwest of Fresno in California's San Joaquin Valley. Attractions include the Harris Ranch, a major cattle ranch which also features a hotel, several restaurants, and a gift shop, and the R.C. Baker Memorial Museum which includes displays of fossils, American Indian artifacts and western ranch hand equipment. Coalinga also hosts the Horned Toad Derby, which is similar to the more famous Jumping Frog Jubilee each year over the Memorial Day weekend in late May. In November, enjoy the annual WHAMOBASS Balloon Rally, the longest consecutively running annual hot air balloon rally in the world.
